OUR MISSION

At People for People Early Childhood Development Center, we’re planting the seeds for lifelong learning. Our mission is to help every child unlock their fullest potential by nurturing a deep love for learning from the very start. With a team of dedicated childcare professionals, a customized curriculum aligned with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards, and enriching field trips and extracurricular activities, we create daily opportunities for growth. Each moment is thoughtfully designed to inspire cognitive, social, and emotional development in the hearts and minds of the children we serve.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Since 2005, a love for learning has been blossoming in the hearts of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at People for People Early Childhood Development Center.

We proudly serve children from 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten, offering a nurturing environment where early learners thrive. For families with older children, we also provide a dynamic Summer Camp and before- and after-care programs for ages 6 to 13.

Each day, our dedicated team of childcare professionals deliver enriched, developmentally appropriate lessons that support every child’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. We go beyond the classroom by ensuring our students are well-nourished and cared for with nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks provided daily. For our infants, we also supply formula, diapers, and wipes at no cost to families.

We are proud to share that for the 2023–2024 school year, People for People Preschool was one of only 34 programs selected—out of 110 applicants—to receive the Philadelphia Early Learning Instructional Excellence Initiative (PELEI) Curriculum Fund, awarded by PHMC. This grant enabled us to implement The Creative Curriculum, a research-based, holistic approach that supports the development of the whole child.

OUR TEAM OF CHILDCARE PROFESSIONALS

Our staff is made up of highly qualified childcare professionals, selected for their education, experience, and commitment to excellence in early childhood education.

People for People, Inc. is proud of its strong record of employee retention, with nearly 30% of our team having served at our center for over five years. We invest in our staff by offering competitive wages, paid time off, and comprehensive health and dental benefits.

All lead and assistant teachers are required to complete a minimum of 24 hours of professional development annually. In addition, every staff member is certified in First Aid, CPR, and trained in fire safety and emergency preparedness.

To ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care, all staff must undergo rigorous background checks, including child abuse clearances, state and federal criminal background checks, and screening through the FBI and National Sex Offender Registry.
