Out of the vision and ministry of Rev. Dr. Herbert H. Lusk II, Greater Exodus Baptist Church became the foundation from which People for People, Inc. was birthed. What began as a church committed to winning souls for Christ and transforming lives through the Gospel has expanded into a movement that empowers families, strengthens communities, and breaks the cycle of poverty.
At Greater Exodus, faith and service have always gone hand in hand. It is here that the mission of changing lives took root, growing beyond the walls of the church into an organization dedicated to education, housing, and holistic community development.
Following the passing of Rev. Dr. Herbert H. Lusk II, his son, Rev. Herbert H. Lusk III, assumed the role of Senior Pastor, joyfully carrying on his father’s legacy of love, service, and faith. Under his leadership, Greater Exodus continues to honor its history while pressing forward with renewed strength, ensuring that the vision of transforming lives for Christ lives on from generation to generation.
