LEAD TEACHER / ASSISTANT TEACHER
At People For People Early Childhood Development Center
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our ECDC team. The ideal candidates will create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences while fostering a safe and supportive environment for children ages six weeks to five years old.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Teachers-Plan, implement, and evaluate daily lessons that align with early childhood education standards and the Center’s curriculum. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and social-emotional growth. Assess and document children’s progress through observations, portfolios, and developmental screenings. Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates on student progress and partnering in their child’s growth. Supervise Assistant Teachers and collaborate with staff to maintain high-quality programming. Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
Assistant Teachers-support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities.
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment. Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff. Participate in professional development and team meetings. Step into lead teaching responsibilities when needed.
Qualifications Required:

Lead Teachers: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field as well as a minimum of 4 years teaching experience.

Assistant Teachers: Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or equivalent; an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
