People for People recognizes that an unexpected pregnancy for a low income family can be the source of great distress. However, People for People CEO, Herbert H. Lusk, II and the organization as a whole stand for the sanctity of human life. So we want to do everything possible to support the material, emotional and psychological needs of the mother, the father— the family who may not be prepared to support a new baby on their own.

It is for this reason that People for People, in partnership with CareNet, a nationally recognized network of pregnancy centers, has begun renovations at 716 N. Broad Street to create the New H.O.P.E. Center, a pregnancy center offering real help and real hope to mothers and/or fathers who need extra support and counseling at a time when they may be feeling discouraged, panicked, desperate or might be considering abortion.

Our hope is that ultimately, the parents who come to the People for People New H.O.P.E. Center will become empowered either to keep their baby or to find peace in releasing him or her to a loving family just waiting to embrace the child as their own.
This is another way that People for People is reaching out to bring assistance and to Change Lives
